This video introduces a course designed for grandparents and other relatives raising children, such as aunts, uncles, friends, or neighbors. Presented by Lori Padilla, a licensed counselor and grandparent.
In this course we’re going to cover:
- What happens when you receive the child or the child comes into your home.
- How do you keep that child safe?
- How do you interact with the community around you?
- How do you ask for resources? Can you ask for resources?
- What resources are there? Where can you get support?
- Are there other people like you?
- And then, how you can also be an advocate for yourself and your child.
